Strengthening Logistics in Central Asia

I’m excited to highlight a major strategic development: in April 2025, Schmitz Cargobull expands into Uzbekistan and launched its subsidiary “Schmitz Cargobull SCA (South Central Asia)”, located in Chirchik, near Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This important move reinforces the company’s commitment to bringing European‑level logistics solutions closer to Central Asian markets.

The new site houses a 300 m² spare‑parts warehouse, plus dedicated areas for sales and presentation of new and used trailers. Supported by a local team and its partner Technodom, the subsidiary offers full-service capabilities, including financing, telematics, service contracts, used‑vehicle trading, and parts supply.

With a target turnover of €1 million within three years, and an expanding network of three initial service partners, Schmitz Cargobull aims to deliver superior customer support directly on the ground.

This is a great example of how European companies are successfully localizing operations to serve growing transport sectors in Central Asia—and a clear signal of Uzbekistan’s rising importance in regional logistics.
